Frontiers Records to release "Dio", JORN's offer
to the musical legacy of the great singer
Napoli, May 2010 - The Norse God of Metal. The leader of the renaissance of classic Hard Rock on its highest level. One of the most prolific and sought-after singers of today, whose vocal talent has reserved him a place amongst the greatest giants in the history of Rock. This is Jorn Lande and now he offers his talents to honour the musical legacy of Ronnie James Dio, with his new album aptly entitled "Dio", to be released on Frontiers Records on July 2nd in Europe and July 27th in the US.
Handpicking some lesser known tunes of the Dio era, along with some of the true classics, Jorn offers a fine collection of songs that present the music of the Man and the Artist, with a unique twist. In Jorn Lande's own words: "Throughout the years I have had the privilege of both meeting and working with many of the musicians that have inspired me on my musical journey. Ronnie James Dio has inspired me through decades, and this man's influence continues to add colour to my creative spirit. Ever since the first time I heard his royal roar back in the 70's, I have been fascinated by this extremely talented man's creative force and dedication to music. His career has been going on for so long and includes so many great songs, that it was a challenge to decide which songs and what era to focus on. I ended up focusing on the DIO era".
The album also includes an original song for which a videoclip, shot by Thomas Tjader (Pretty Maids, In Flames) was produced. Jorn says "I wrote 'Song for Ronnie James' as a tribute and a personal thanks to the man who has been my mentor for more than 35 years. This great man has affected my life and career in such a way that without his presence, I would not have become the artist I am today".

Either as front man in German metal act Masterplan, which has achieved great success around the world, or as guest in spectacular projects such as Tobias Sammet's "Avantasia", or in the Allen / Lande's releases, Jorn Lande is today a trademark for quality Hard Rock music. "Dio" is the new chapter in Jorn's history and a sincere and heartfelt "thank you" to a great and influential Artist.

R.I.P. Juhani Palomäki (1977 - 2010) OF COLOSSEUM AND YEARNING
Juhani Palomäki’s musical career, including the composition of eight
full-length albums for Yearning and Colosseum, has ended as he was found
deceased on Saturday May 15th 2010. His final composition, Colosseum’s
recently recorded third album, Chapter 3: Parasomnia, shall be released as
planned, in order to honour Juhani’s memory. This also marks the end of Colosseum
as a band, but Juhani’s musical genius and artistic integrity shall nevertheless forever
live on, both on his records and in our hearts. We have lost a brilliant musician
and a true friend, who will be greatly missed not only by us, but by his loved ones
and countless people all around the world who have been touched by his art.
Farewell, Juhani. May you rest in peace.

ICED EARTH + SONS OF LIBERTY ON CENTURY MEDIA
There is no better way for Century Media Records to celebrate their 20th Anniversary in North America than by having the band that propelled them to success here return home. ICED EARTH, one of the most groundbreaking metal bands of all time is extremely excited to announce a return to their roots by partnering back up with Century Media. This new worldwide deal sees the band rejoin the label that released the legendary albums "The Dark Saga" and "Something Wicked This Way Comes" as well as all of the early Iced Earth albums.
In addition to Iced Earth, Century Media will also release Iced Earth brainchild,
Jon Schaffer's SONS OF LIBERTY project.

The new SONS OF LIBERTY album "Brush Fires of The Mind" is set for a July 12th release. Schaffer handles all vocals and instrumentation for Sons of Liberty, but the effort also features guest solos by legendary producer Jim Morris, ICED EARTH guitarist Troy Seele and world-class bassist, Ruben Drake.
Born from Schaffer's desire to stimulate curiosity about a pattern of global banking corruption that is undermining the independence of people and their countries, SONS OF LIBERTY aims to spearhead a multi-faceted and peaceful
resistance of the tyranny being wrought every day on regular people. Schaffer, in turn, has reverently named his new project after a secret organization comprised of notable United States' patriots that formed in 1765. These patriots worked fervently to expose and resist the tyranny that the colonists were subjected to, which ultimately led to the American Revolution. NEW ALBUM LABYRINTH IN JUNE ON SCARLET RECORDS
Power Metal legends Labyrinth have signed a deal with Scarlet Records for the release of 'Return To Heaven Denied Pt.2 - A Midnight Autumn's Dream', a stunning concept album conceived to be the continuation of their much celebrated masterpiece ‘Return To Heaven Denied’ (1998), still considered by fans and media alike as a real Classic in its genre. Frontiers Records to release the anticipated YOSO debut album
Former members of YES and TOTO return with a new band
Napoli, May, 2010 – The term “Super-Group” can only describe the band arising out of two of the most creative bands of the past 30 years: YOSO is formed out of TOTO’s brilliant lead vocalist Bobby Kimball and the creative force of former YES members, Tony Kaye and Billy Sherwood, thus equalling the magic of YES with the voice of TOTO. However, YOSO is much more than a combination of two classic rock groups. The band’s debut album “Elements” - which comes together with a bonus live CD where the band plays some old and new classics – presents a fascinating combination of the sound of YES ("90125"/"Big Generator" era) and TOTO, with a very interesting and original sound that truly encompasses the styles.
“Elements” will see the light of day on July 2nd in Europe and July 27th in the USA, where the band has already scheduled a number of tour dates in support of the album’s release, on Frontiers Records.
Even though the band's heritage is from 2 classic bands, YOSO intends to become its own identifiable entity in a very short time, YOSO’s collective mission is to make the next decade one where YOSO’s music will be held up alongside their classic rock backgrounds as a band as important as TOTO and YES.
Billy Sherwood recalls: "YOSO was started when I suggested to Bobby Kimball we should write some new music and form a band, we had been working together on various tribute projects I was producing and one thing lead to another, before too long we had 5 songs in the can and were well on our way to making a record and thinking seriously about taking it to the next level. Once there was a few songs underway the concept grew into the band we now have, " YOSO ".
YOSO line-up was later rounded out with two amazingly gifted musicians: Johnny Bruhns as the guitarist and background vocalist and Scott Conner on drums, percussion and background vocals.
YOSO does indeed have the magic of YES and the voice of TOTO. However, in 2010 the band intends to convince fans of both bands that the brilliance of YOSO will be just as celebrated in the years to come.
