We think that now is the time to let you in on what is currently going on in camp Saturnus…
As you might know we went through a substantial ”re-grouping” last year. Thomas and Brian is of course still in the band handling vocals and bass while lead guitarist Rune Stiassny, who already participated in two European tours, also is a full-blooded member of Saturnus. We are looking forward to present our drummer and a rhythm guitarist as well when the time comes.
While we are humble towards the achievements of the past we are at the same time confident that we are able to carry on the flame and create a new Saturnus album. When exactly a new album will see the light of day we can’t say for sure. But what we can say is that we are currently i the process of writing new songs and that we will do some pre-recording for our album this Spring.
The new material – in our opinion – is promising indeed. But if you would like a peek listen as to how it actually sounds like we have uploaded a youtube clip at this site from our performance of the new song ”Wind Torn” in Madrid last fall. We hope you like it… (our former drummer Jesper and Martin from Nightlight/Iron Fire helped us out on this tour – thank you!).

Solution. 45, the new band of former Scar Symmetry vocalist Christian Älvestam, have just released their debut album “For Aeons Past”. It marks Christian´s return to his unique multi-vocal style that he has established with his former band.

LATEST NEWS FROM MELODIC DOOMSTERS THE PROPHECY
The Prophecy are pleased to announce they will be performing at the 2010 Bloodstock Open Air Festival in the UK on the 13th Aug. The Festival takes place at Catton Park, Derby. The Line up so far features Heaven and Hell, Twisted Sister, Bloodbath, Behemoth, Fear Factory, Devin Townsend, Obituary, Amorphis, Cannibal Corpse, Gojira, Gwar and loads more. The band will also be making an appearance at the East Riding Rock Festival at Dene Park, Dunswell. Also Performing will be Blaze Bayley, Ackercoke and Trigger the Bloodshed. The Prophecy are Scheduled to play on the 16th July.
In other exciting news The Prophecy will be making their first ever appearances in China at the beginning of May. On the 01 May the band will play the 2010 Yixian Camping Music Festival
in Hebei Province. The 02 May will then see the band take to the stage at the reknowned MIDIFEST in Haidan Park, Beijing. The festival, the biggest rock festival in China is a three day event hosted by the Beijing MIDI School of Music.
Lastly THE PROPHECY will be helping to raise money for the Haiti disaster relief fund as the Hope for Haiti event at the Snooty Fox in Wakefield. The event is a two day metal festival featuring Conquest of Steel and Trigger the Bloodshed. Currently the band is writing songs for their fourth as yet untitled album. Their last album 'Into the Light' is out now on Code666 records.

SEASON OF MIST SIGNS MAR DE GRISES
Season of Mist just signed the first South American band of the label's history! We are happy to welcome Chile's MAR DE GRISES to the roster. The band's third full-length album should be released later this year.
"We are very happy about this deal with Season of Mist", the band comments. "For a young band like Mar de Grises, it is really exciting to be part of an impressive roster with big names such as Morbid Angel, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Mayhem and Cynic, among many others. VIDEOCLIP FOR RUSSIAN NOVA ART
NOVA ART, Russian nu-progressive metal band are preparing their first video
for “Don’t Follow The Crowd”. The track comes off the latest band’s release
‘Follow Yourself” (2009) that is in stores now. The video is being mastered
by “Frames Motion Studio”.
The most part of filming took place in Moscow, at about 120 meters
underground, in unused metro tunnels and bomb shelters under the city center.
By now it’s done.
The full “Don’t Follow The Crowd” video will debut in May 2010.

KISKE/SOMERVILLE
KISKE/SOMERVILLE, the new project featuring former HELLOWEEN vocalist Michael Kiske and American singer Amanda Somerville, filmed two videos - "Silence" and "If I Had A Wish" - on March 28 and March 29 in Nurnberg, Germany. Joining Kiske and Somerville for the shoot were bassist and main composer Mat Sinner (SINNER, PRIMAL FEAR), guitarist Sander Gommans (AFTER FOREVER, HDK), drummer Rami Ali and keyboardist Jimmy Kresic (VOODOO CIRCLE). The clips were directed by Martin Mueller of RCN TV who previously helmed U.D.O.'s "Black and White" and "Mean Streets" and GOTTHARD's "The Call" videos.

The KISKE/SOMERVILLE debut album is scheduled for release in September. A digital single, "Silence", will be launched in late august before the release of the full album.
Commented Mat Sinner: "The first video clip is for ther song and first single of the album, 'Silence', and was shot at the Opera House. The second video clip was shot for the song 'If I Had A Wish' in an old and closed public bath. Hard job for all of us, but we had a fantastic time!"

Somerville is the American singer-songwriter and vocal coach who was tapped to replace EPICA vocalist Simone Simons on the band's North American tour with SYMPHONY X due to Simons' health issues. Amanda was also featured on KAMELOT's latest release, "Ghost Opera", and toured with AVANTASIA. She released her solo album, "Windows", in 2008. A Michigan native, Amanda has resided and worked mainly in Germany and the Netherlands since 1999. She has collaborated with several other bands in the metal scene along with producers Sascha Paeth and Miro, and co-wrote the rock opera "Aina". Her own music is of the pop-rock genre.
Demon Hunter headliner op Brainstorm Festival 2010
- Populaire Amerikaanse metalcore band geeft exclusieve show -
APELDOORN - Demon Hunter is als headliner gekozen voor de derde editie van het Brainstorm Festival dat op 5 en 6 november 2010 wordt gehouden in Gigant, Apeldoorn. De Amerikaanse metalcore band komt voor het eerst naar Europa voor een korte tour en doet daarbij één exclusieve show in Nederland tijdens het Brainstorm Festival.
Demon Hunter komt naar Europa om de release van ‘The World Is A Thorn’ te promoten. Dit is alweer het vijfde album van de succesvolle metalcore band. In totaal heeft de band de afgelopen jaren meer dan een half miljoen cd’s verkocht. De single ‘Fading Away’ is meer dan een miljoen keer bekeken op YouTube. Demon Hunter is bovendien veel te zien op MTV2’s Headbangers Ball en Fuse.
Op het nieuwe album zijn gastrollen weggelegd voor Björn Strid (Soilwork), Christian Älvestam (ex-Scar Symmetry) en Dave Peters (Throwdown). ‘The World Is A Thorn’ is geproduceerd door Aaron Sprinkle (Acceptance, Anberlin) en de mix was in handen van Jason Suecof (All That Remains, Trivium).
Met de komst van Demon Hunter heeft de organisatie van het Brainstorm Festival vijf van de in totaal twaalf (inter)nationale namen rond. Eerder werden Innerwish (GR), The Spirit That Guides Us (NL), Officium Triste (NL) en In Grief (NO) vastgelegd. Naast optredens biedt het Brainstorm Festivals een expositie, een alternatieve programmering in het bijbehorende theater en een kleine cd-markt.

PRETTY MAIDS have just finished the shooting of the videoclip for the single "Little Drops of Heaven" under the direction of Thomas Tjader (Saint Deamon), taken from the forthcoming album "Pandemonium" to be released on Frontiers Records on May 14th in Europe and June 8th in the USA.
